Walking with Purpose, Growing in Faith
In early 2025, Blessed on Purpose began with a simple vision… to see every young woman walk confidently in the calling God has placed on her life. What started as a small dream quickly grew into a movement, one that blends faith, mentorship, and opportunity to empower girls ages 12–18.
Founder/CEO
Briasha Townsend is a Milwaukee native and dedicated youth advocate with two years of hands-on mentoring experience in the city.
A graduate of Milwaukee Public Schools and Milwaukee Area Technical College (A.A. in Business Management), she’s currently completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.
Briasha has worked in Milwaukee-area public and charter schools as both a paraprofessional and youth mentor, using her experience to empower young people through resources, exposure, and opportunities to grow into who they’re called to be.
She is passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces where youth can thrive, feel seen, and walk confidently in their purpose.
Our Impact
Blessed on Purpose had the honor of supporting 12 remarkable young women as they prepared to begin their college journeys. Each of these incoming freshmen received not only the dorm essentials they needed, bedding, supplies, and everyday necessities, but also words of affirmation, prayer, and mentorship to carry with them into this new season.
For us, it wasn’t just about filling their rooms, it was about filling their hearts with hope, confidence, and the reminder that they are never alone in the pursuit of their dreams.

Blessed on Purpose empowers young girls to embrace faith, confidence, and resilience through purpose-driven mentorship, exposure to college and career readiness, and essential resources equipping them to walk in purpose.
